Keifuku Line (Randen)
The Keifuku Line (Randen) consists of two branches, the Arashiyama Line and the Kitano Line. Trains run from Arashiyama Station to either Shijō Ōmiya Station or Kitano Hakubaichō Station with a transfer at Katabiranotsuji Station. The Keifuku Kitano Line makes it easy to travel to Ryōan-ji, Kitano Tenmangū Shrine, Kinkaku-ji, and the Arashiyama area.
KEIFUKU LINE STATIONS
There is no ticket inspection when boarding the train, and you do not have to buy a ticket before boarding. A flat fare will be collected at the end of your ride.
At major stations you can buy the ticket at a machine before boarding the train. This can be helpful if you want to avoid handling small change when disembarking.
